PowerSquid Surge Protector

PowerSquidCheck out PowerSquid, one of the awardees of Best of Innovations at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show. While traditional power strips provide a fixed outlet for connecting multiple adapters or devices, they are inherently static. PowerSquid overcomes this limitation by offering a dynamic power delivery device.

Independent outlets can be let out freely from the box, giving convenient reach to the users. The included surge protector ensures effective power delivery to all your appliances, while the Tripwire Circuit is capable of physically cutting off electrical supply to the devices in any urgent need, like a lightning strike for example.

Two models are available: one for home use (PCs, home theatre systems, electronic gadgets - you get the idea), and another for studio musicians. Pricing varies between US $49.95 to $79.95 depending on power ratings.

More info is available from PowerSquid's website.
