Remember the Nintendo DS Lite, which hit Japan a few weeks ago? Yeah, the same one that's yet to make an appearance in the US?

1Up's latest podcast revealed that they know the release date and suggested that there could be a announcement on the 4th of may. There were rumors that it could hit the US in May, but apparently the demand in Japan right now is so high that they would probably wait a few more weeks before announcing it in the US. Other sources seem to indicate a June 11 launch for the DS Lite in the US.

Anyway, we'll have a formal announcement once Nintendo decides to give us one. Or someone from Nintendo tips us off. Okay? For now, be satisfied with Nintendo's website.
