Digital Foci introduces a new portable digital picture viewer with hard drive and built-in card reader, the Picture Porter Elite. Based on the name, you might think that device is only used to view pictures, right? But Porter Elite is pretty cool it can do even more than what you think it can do. It can play Mp3 playback, do video/voice recording, connect to Projector/TV, record movies from the TV, data bridge, picture viewing and play video. The large 3.6-inch LCD color screen is indeed a very demanding update from their old version of just 2-inch wide. Porter Elite works with all popular media card formats, including CF I/II, MD, SM, MMC, SD Card, miniSD, Memory Stick, MS PRO, MS Duo and MS PRO Duo. It is also equipped with bunch of picture functions such as zoom, rotate, pan, view EXIF information and histogram, and play picture slideshows. Picture Porter Elite functions as MP3 player as well as video player with the supporting files of MPEG-1, MPEG-4, WMV9, MJPEG and MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV. The best part, it is compatible with Windows and Mac which lets you easily transfer files to and from your computer and between computers with different operating systems through its high-speed USB 2.0 connection. The high-capacity, user-removable Lithium-Ion battery allows up to 4 hours of continuous video and up to 12 hours of continuous music. Picture Porter Elite will be available from August 7th with the competitive price of USD449 for 40GB and USD549 for 80GB storage.
