Polk Audio I-Sonic Entertainment System

Polk Audio I-Sonic Entertainment System.jpgPolk Audio will be coming out with a new all-in-one audio/video solution during the first quarter of 2006 called the I-Sonic Entertainment System. With the I-Sonic, you'll get a complete package that includes HD Radio, XM Radio support, AM/FM radio, alarm clock, DVD/CD player, and integrated speakers and subwoofer.

The I-Sonic supports the HD Radio standard where HD AM is as good as current FM standards and HD FM is nearly as good as CD quality sound. Don't mistake this as Satellite Radio which is a subscription based service. The I-Sonic supports XM Radio via an optional $49 Connect & Play XM Antenna. There's also a built in alarm clock and support for standard AM/FM Radio.

The I-Sonic also has a built in DVD player which supports DVD video, CDs, Picture CDs, Video CDs, MP3 CDs, and other formats. Connect the I-Sonic to your television set and you have a complete package. Are you missing speakers? No worries there - the I-Sonic has built in speakers that provide room filling stereo sound. It also uses I-Sonic's patented Power Port venting technology for rich bass.

There are two auxillary inputs on the I-Sonic which means you'll be able to connect other devices such as the Apple iPod. Other features include 30 radio presets, a wireless remote control, and a headphone jack.

The I-Sonic will be available for $599 1st quarter next year. Check out the product page for additional information.
