Pocket LOOX T Series With SiRFstarIII GPS Now
SiRF Technology Holdings have tied up with Fujitsu Siemens Computers to incorporate a single-chip version of SiRF's flagship SiRFstarIII GPS receiver into the new, Pocket LOOX T Series smartphones. So now apart from state of the art features like Windows Mobile, Direct Push e-mail and GSM/UMTS mobile phone technology , the LOOX T series will also sport SiRF GPS-enabled location technology.
This collaboration will result in the smartphones acting as navigational devices and provide real-time location awareness. The GSC3f promises to impress everyone with its highly intuitive interface , its fast time to first fix (TTFF), A-GPS digital baseband processor, RF front end and 4 megabits of flash memory. The GSC3f series includes SiRFLoc multimode technology and the SiRFInstantFix service. While the former lets networks to move beyond basic "find and locate" services and supports location-based services (LBS) like real-time routing.
