voyager510_ws.gifPlantronics have supplied their headsets to critical agencies like air traffic control, 911 dispatch, and the New York Stock Exchange and today they unveiled two Bluetooth headsets the Plantronics Discovery 645 and Voyager 510 with WindSmart. Both these headsets promise excellent audio clarity and cutting edge performance rarely seen in consumer headsets. While Voyager 510 is a pioneer of sorts as it incorporates both noise-canceling microphone and wind-reduction technology, the Discovery 645 includes a digital signal processing (DSP) chip for reducing background noise.

To reaffirm Plantronics claims about Voyager 510, the National Analysis Center had it tested and concluded the same and even awarded it with its "Innovation" award. The Voyager also includes multipoint technology for effortlessly switching between two Bluetooth devices. The Discovery 645 was also awarded Industry Forum (iF) Product Design Award and is one of the lightest handsets on the market. It features include 9 hours of talk time, unique vibrate ring and voice dialing among others.

While the Voyager 510 is available now at a price of US $99 the Discovery 645 will be seen late March and will carry a price tag of US $149. www.plantronics.com
