Planon DocuPen R700
For all you budding spies out there, check out the new DocuPen R700 from Planon. The R700 is a battery-operated handheld scanner that can store up to 100 pages in memory, allowing you to scan a page in approximately 4-8 seconds.
The DocuPen R700 comes bundled with PaperPort OCR software, so if you scan a lot of text documents, it's very easy to convert them to Word or other document formats. The device employs Li-ion rechargeable batteries, and comes with a USB interface to transfer the memory contents to the PC. When you connect it to the port, it will automatically charge the batteries as well.
With a dual roller guiding system, any surface feels smooth when scanning. Rollers around the scanner lens ensure even distribution of pressure across the surface. It also uses optical registration techniques for creating accurate scans.
