Pioneer Inno XM2go Portable Satellite Radio/MP3 Player
XM Satellite Radio is also teaming up with Pioneer to produce hybrid devices that are both portable satellite radios and MP3 players. Today they announced the Pioneer Inno which provides live satellite radio "on the go" and the ability to listen to MP3 and WMA music files.
Similar to the ones released by Samsung (see story below) these devices can also bookmark songs heard on XM for purchase later on the XM + Napster music store. Which makes us conclude that this is a XM technology.
The Pioneer XM2go player has internal flash memory that can store up to 50 hours of XM programming. The protruding antenna is the key for live satellite reception. It also has a 180x180 color TFT display.
Similar to Samsung's XM devices, the Pioneer Inno will be available in the first quarter of 2006 for an estimated retail price of $399.99. www.pioneer.com.
