Pioneer AVH-P5900DVD In-Dash Audio Video System
Consumers looking for an all-in-one audio/video system for their automobile will be interested in Pioneer's latest product, the Pioneer AVH-5900DVD In-Dash Audio Video System. The AVH-P5900DVD in-dash system is designed to fit most vehicle dashboads and comes with a 7-inch video screen.
The system offers both high quality video and audio. The 7-inch LCD display offers best-in-class video reproduction. It also has high power MOSFET50 amplification for DVD and DivX video playback, and Bit Map Expander for compressed audio files, which adds fuller, richer sound quality for a variety of music formats including MP3, WMA, and AAC compressed audio.
A rotary volume control is included on the Pioneer AVH-P5900 system, which makes it easy to scroll through play lists. It also includes five different graphic interfaces so that you can customize the look of your display, and offers the choice of either red or blue illumination.
This model provides complete connectivity to satellite radio (XM and Sirius), portable music devices (including the iPod), and Bluetooth cellular phones. Located at the back of the unit is an auxiliary input which will accept connection to most portable audio devices with mini jack output. For exceptional control of your connected iPod, the system has a built-in iPod Direct control feature, which simplifies the connection of your iPod do the unit and allows the music, video and content of your iPod to display on the Pioneer's screen.
The Pioneer P5900 In-Dash Audio Video system will be available in March 2007 with a suggested price of $1000. The major difference between the two units (size and looks wise) is that the P5900 has a 7-inch screen instead of the 6.5-inch screen the P4900 has.
