philipss900.jpgVery soon the Koreans would be able to get their hands on the new Philips mobile phone with a touch screen. No idea if there will ever be a worldwide release, but hey we can always be optimistic. The new Philips S900 apart from a tasteful design with silver accents also has some impressive specs on it. This sleek phone has the very handy handwritten text input feature which can recognize a number of alphabets and symbols. The phone will run on the GSM900/1800/1900 MHz networks and weighs just about 93.3 g.

The phone has some fun features too including a 2 MP camera, JAVA games, 10 MB of onboard memory and a memory slot too. Looks like the S900 is targeted at both serious users and casual users and from the looks of it, Philips may have got it right. Other features found on the phone include an integrated MP3-player, an infrared port and Bluetooth, calculator, English-Chinese dictionary, and work with text documents (create/ read/ edit/ search…), stopwatch, timer, and world time. No word on pricing or availability but we will keep you updated.
