tn_G-3600V.jpgWe recently wrote about Pantech, the number two mobile phone manufacturer in South Korea, in one of our articles last month about it's plans to go global at the 3GSM that was held at Barcelona recently. At CeBIT 2006, in Hannover, Germany, Pantech further highlighted it's plans to expand it's market share in Europe and globally in 2006 with the demonstration of a wide range of sophisticated handsets, featuring pioneering yet easy to use applications. Pantech will be displaying a whopping 41 handsets at the CeBIT, which includes wide range of GSM phones, 2 UMTS phones and 15 CDMA phones. Some of the models that are on display are the new G-6200 and G-3600V. Also some notable models that are on display are the IM-U110 and IM-U100, the PT-K1800 terrestrial DMB phone, as well as satellite DMB phones, the PT-S160 and IMB-1000, which have already talked about in the past. So lets now take a quick look at the two new phones Pantech has just announced for CEBIT, the Pantech G-3600V and G-6200 mobile phones.

This is one of the new phones that were unveiled at the CeBIT. It classifies under the music phone category which features an external touch wheel sensor to maximize its usability as a music player. Like any other music phone in the market, it also supports WMA, MP3, AAC, AAC+ and AMR music playbacks. It also includes various equalizers such as rock, pop etc... and also users can customise the equaliser, which is probably found in most of the music phones today. Also featuring is a 1.3 mega pixel camera with a 4x zoom, it provides photo editing and video editing functionality.

Pantech G-6200:
Also on display was this new fingerprint recognition phone, which was honored at the 2006 iF Design Awards. It is powered by a 2.0 MegaPixel camera which is capable of photo editing with the photo editing system in place. Apart from that the phone also has an MP3 player supporting different formats and on the connectivity side of it, it has bluetooth, which more or less has become a regular in most of the phones. The G-6200 also boasts of a 1.9 inch QCIF 260K color TFT LCD and provides photo-editing function linked with MMS.
