Panasonic Toughbook Wireless DisplayThis Valentine's day healthcare professionals are going to fall in love with Panasonic. Because, Panasonic has just announced the Panasonic Toughbook Wireless Display, a reliable and durable computing device specifically designed for the healthcare industry.

The Toughbook Wireless Display is unique. It fills the gap between traditional PDAs, which offer limited functionality, and standard notebooks and tablet PCs, which can be too heavy or cumbersome for regular use. It's a thin client wireless solution that has no local software applications, and instead, wirelessly connects to clinical and management applications which reside on a local server. It works with Citrix Metaframe, Windows Server OSes, or Web servers.

The Toughbook Wireless Display weighs just 1.18 kilos and comes equipped with a bright 10.4" LCD. For added security, this touch screen device has no hard disk drive and you can opt for a fingerprint scanner too. The unit is sealed to military specifications.

The Panasonic Toughbook Wireless Display will be available from Panasonic partners and resellers this spring at an estimated end user street price of $1,750.00. For a demonstration, visit Panasonic at HIMSS 2006, Booth #3453, or go to Panasonic Healthcare for more information.
