panny.jpgThe Panasonic LUMIX DMC-L1 which is the company’s first foray in to the DLSR world is now ready for an American release. News has just poured in that this 7.9 Mega-pixel will hit the American shores by early September for a suggested retail price of $1,999. The standard kit would also include a LEICA D VARIO-ELMARIT lens. The DSLR has a body resembling an old rangefinder camera and this non-frills design will appeal to the serious photographers. Another unique feature worth mentioning is its Live MOS sensor. You can check out Mobilewhack’s indepth coverage of this camera here and also head over to the company's website: www.panasonic.com
