Panasonic CF-74 Notebook
It's not just Toshiba's day out today, Panasonic also has a new notebook up its sleeve. Called the ultimate Road Warrior, Panasonic's Toughbook CF-74 has every reason to be one. This and several other semi-rugged notebooks from Panasonic will be showcased at CTIA Wireless 2006, April 5 - 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Panasonic CF-74 is built using a magnesium alloy case and comes with an integrated handle. The screen is visible even in broad daylight - one of the many requirements for the outdoors guy. Panasonic also claims a 7-hour long battery life.
Powered by an Intel Core Duo T2400 processor, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-74 is equipped with a smallish 80GB hard drive (shock-mounted) and 512MB DDR2 SDRAM. An integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 takes care of your wireless needs, with options for Bluetooth and next-gen WANs. It has also been certified by Sprint and Verizon's EV-DO networks.
