Panasonic P702iD

20061113175555.jpgIf you are one of those misunderstood souls and the world has trouble keeping up with your mood swings, we suggest you look at the Panasonic 'P702iD' mobile phone with 128 gradational LED. The LED can lit up in different colors, so if you are feeling blue, you know what to do!

It also gets to play shrink via its Feel Talk' function which gauges your mood through your voice while you are gabbing on the phone and then sets the color accordingly! Mmm looks like cell phone manufacturers are running of features ! Other mundane I mean normal features include; 'Chaku-Uta Full' service, ‘SD-AUDIO’, 1.3M camera, 'Push Talk' function, and 2GB miniSD card slot(optional).

Panasonic KX-WP1050 Approved For USA

Pana_Skype_1.jpg

The FCC has just approved the Panasonic KX-WP1050, a phone that is designed to work with Skype. In case you haven’t heard, Skype is a Internet telephony provider that gives users the ability to communicate like a telephone over the Internet.

The KX-WP1050 has a Skype base station that is always connected to the global web, as well as the handset. Looks like it should be able to do everything a regular cell can, with conference communication, call queuing, voice mail, and call history. One can’t help but wonder if telephony will replace cell phone networks as we know it. It doesn’t look like that would happen any time soon.

No word about when the Panasonic KX-WP1050 will be released, nor any price. This may be one of several Skype or telephony phones you may see in the next year or so.

FCC approves Panasonic CF-P2

Panasonic CF-P2You can always count on the FCC to spill the beans on a new mobile phone. This time the FCC has approved the Panasonic Toughbook CF-P2 and as you can probably tell by the name, this mobile phone is a no nonsense device.

The CF-P2 is ruggedized against shock, extreme temperatures, and humidity. The devices features:

  • GSM/GPRS 850/1900 support
  • 802.11b Wi-Fi support
  • Bluetooth support
  • LCD screen with light sensor for automatic adjustment of backlighting
  • Runs Windows Mobile 2003 SE

I'm always disappointed to hear that a new phone coming out is using an older version of Windows Mobile. Oh well. It's unclear which provider will have this phone but it is a GSM phone so you've got lots of choices to choose from. Via Krunker.com.

    Panasonic VC6 Clamshell Phone

Panasonic VS6Panasonic has a new handset on offer: the Panasonic VS6, a highly affordable phone with lots of cool features, including Bluetooth and a 2 megapixel camera. The display is a crisp 240x320 QVGA LCD, capable of 16 million colors.

However, there are a couple of drawbacks, namely the limited memory (32MB, no expansion possible). A basic WAP browser is provided, but tough luck if you were expecting an e-mail client: that's right, there ain't one! And don't even begin to imagine about 3G. It's plain old GPRS-capable.

You can play Java games, and Sonic the Hedgehog is provided with the phone. It weighs around 100 grams, and the clamshell looks give it a sleek finish.

Priced around €190 (on pre-pay in the UK), more information about the Panasonic VS6 is available from Panasonic's website. Via Mobilegazette

    Panasonic VS2 Cell Phone

Panasonic VS2 Cell PhonePanasonic burst onto the mobile scene with the launch of their VS2 flip phone. The VS2 comes with a QVGA (Quarter VGA, 320x240 pixels) screen and at 98 g, it's pretty light as well. The screen dazzles with 16 million colors and has a 1.3 megapixel camera (for both pictures and videos) to boot.

One of the things I like foremost: the arrangement of keys. It is so simple that newbies shouldn't have any problem in understang what each key is for. As for the spacing between the keys, it's just right if you ask me. It supporst Java MIDP 2.0 and comes pre-installed with Sonic The Hedgehog game.

That said, the VS2 lacks Bluetooth (and I wouldn't touch a Bluetooth-less phone with a 15-foot stick). It does have an Infrared port, but umm, okay, I don't know how useful this could be given the penetration of Bluetooth right now. The other option of connectivity, of course, is with a bundled USB cable.

The VS2 also comes with a built-in MP3 player, but with 32 MB of shared memory and no external card slot, there's not much use for this. panasonic.com

    Panasonic VS3 Review

Panasonic VS3Pro Review:GSMarena.com Review the Panasonic VS3 Camera Phone and they say -"The brilliant huge display is not the only characteristic the new Panasonic VS3 is going to attract customers' attention with. It also offers a remarkable design, a clamshell auto-open construction, a megapixel camera and a solid functional construction.

It was not that long ago, when the color display on a mobile phone was considered unneeded and due to its poor imaging abilities people preferred to stick to the still more practical at that time monochrome display. Today the color display is a standard and its quality is being constantly improved. Modern displays are getting finer and more colorful every day. Today's mobiles are expected to be able to display the obligatory 65K colors. Provided they would like to stand out, they should manage then 262K. Now compare: the new VS3 clamshell from Panasonic is able to display the stunning 16 millions of colors. What's more, it does so on a huge surface with an extremely fine resolution..."
