(Update May 7) The Palm Treo700p is once again making news. According to the PC Intel forum, employees of Radio Shack have disclosed the prices of the handset on their forums. They claim that the Treo 700p will sell for $679.99 and $529.99 with a two year old agreement with Sprint. Not exactly petty change but then with the name Treo attached what did you expect?

(Update Dec 26) Well it looks like a long six months of waiting is almost over for treo fans, There's no trusting posts on a public forum but some guy going by "VZW Employee" over at Howard Forums has posted some details on the upcoming Treo 700w by Verizon including the launch date and price.

According to images from alleged promotional materials Verizon will be launching the much talked about phone on January 5, 2006, possibly during CES 2006. Pricing starts at $619 for phone without contract, $549.99 for a one year contract and $499.99 for a two year contract. Sounds real enough to be true, in any case we don't have to wait long to find out! thank-god, thank-god we are going to finally be able to see this product in all it's glory.

(Update 26th of Sept) Palm today announced the Palm Treo 700 and they also officially announced a alliancewith Microsoft. Very little details on the treo were announced. By the looks of it, everyone is going to have to wait until early 2006 for a good look at the Palm treo 700 Smart-phone. That's a real shame, it would have been good if Palm released full specs now while everyone was watching them. Everybody loves this product already and it hasn't even been announced yet. I can't believe the hype going around about the treo 700 at the moment, it rivals Xbox 360 and Apple Ipod popularity. Looks like there are a lot of treo fans out there. I'll keep my eye on the ball. Wow they are really keeping the wraps tight around this one.
