A French company called It’s Label has just unveiled a new Origami or UMPC device exclusively for the French Market. This UMPC sure looks good and has all the right curves. It features a highly stylized form factor and is extremely feature rich too. Let’s now look at the Origami It’s in more details and find out what all it has to offer.
The Origami It’s is powered by VIA C7M NaNo (BGA onboard) processor which has speeds up to 1.0 GHz. The device uses Windows XP Tablet PC Edition with Touch Pack as its Operating System and also has touch screen capabilities. For flawless display, It’s Label has incorporated an Ultra Slim 7 †Wide-Angle View TFT LCD with a VGA Resolution of up to 800×480 Native and Zoom capabilities of 800×600, 1024×600 and 800×48. Thus from the specs you can figure out that care has been taken for easy viewing and navigation.
This GPS device boasts of a 512MB RAM which can be expanded to a whopping IGB. It sports a 40 GB Hard Drive which is capable of speeds up to 5,400rpm. It includes VT1618 - AC97 Codec and has a Built-In 1W Speaker with 3.5mm Headphone & Stereo Microphone Combo Jack for delivering decent audio functionality. Connectivity options include QCOM 802.11b/g WLAN and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (IVT Corp.) Class 1. The Origami boasts of a very intuitive touch screen and a very user friendly interface. The menu features both left and right mouse button, 4x Function Keys and a Synaptic Transtouch Stick Cursor.
The Origami It’s is available now for a price of 990 Euro and some other features found on the device include, a Re-chargeable 26w Lithium ION Battery (2200mAh), 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1x 36-pin Cradle Connector, Chipsets VN800 Northbridge and a Wireless on/off switch. Users can also opt for additional functions and accessories like External CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive, USB Modem or GSRM Modem and a Docking Cradle with additional I/O Ports.
