oddi_n700.jpgThe Odd-i N700D may have an ‘odd’ name but there is nothing surreal about it! This player is strictly for the Koreans (bummer) and is the brainchild of the Korean company FusionSoft. This PMP with DMD includes a 7 inch color screen and can be hooked up to a 2.5-inch hdd so that you can store your favorite multimedia content and be on the go. There is a SD slot too so that you don’t have space issues in the future and the USB interface will let you transfer your content from the PC to the player.

The player has an innovate application called “Picture-in-Navigation" which lets you view your content in thumbnails so that you can navigate the player easily. The PMP will play almost all formats under the sun including MPEG1, MPEG4 SP, XVID and Divx 3.x/4.x/5.x at a maximum resolution of 720x480 pixels (max. 30 fps) and WMV7 (max resolution 320x240, 30fps) and WMV8/9 (320x240, 20fps) and SMI captioning. Yes all these are video formats and they haven’t mentioned about the audio formats but you can bet your last dollar that it would play MP3 files and maybe WMA too. The player would hit the streets of Korea by June 21 but no word on pricing.
