The FOMA "9 Series" handsets by the Japanese company TT DoCoMo may be the first HSDPA handset in Japan but the reason why it caught our attention was because of its ultra sporty and cool design. For some strange reason I keep thinking Star Trek whenever I see the picture. There are 8 models released by the company however since details are very scarce we will just tell you the basics.

All 9 Series phones come preloaded with the i-appli software required to use DoCoMo's DCMX credit card and the N902iX HIGH-SPEED handset is HSDPA enabled which means it is capable of high-speed packet-transmission technology for downlinks at up to 3.6Mbps.This phone is a music phone too and includes support for Windows Media files. It includes features like Osaifu-Keitai e-wallet services, including mobile-phone credit cards, e-money, e-ticketing, membership programs and more.

Later this week in Japan Sharp and NTT DoCoMo will be launching a new 3G clamshell phone the SH902i FOMA. The phone features a 2.4-inch, QVGA (240x320) screen with Advance Super View (ASV) technology that prevents anyone on the side from stealing glances at your confidential SMS or email.

The phone also comes with a 3.16 megapixel, autofocus camera, an MP3 Player and a web browser. It also supports a miniSD slot though you'll need to purchase one separately.

It comes in four colors cool colors, Carbon Red, Leather Black, Shell Blue and Glass White and will be available in Japan on December 9th. More info can be found on the 902i website.

Fujitsu is introducing the F902i mobile phone for the DoCoMo service in Japan. The phone includes biometric security to support NTT's new phone wallet service.

The DoCoMo F902i employs a very fashionable design with a cool looking external round display which also doubles as an analog clock. You can have different background themes displayed on the screen behind the clock.

Another cool new feature on the F902i is the use of the Mincho font which is commonly used in print. The new font provides a sharper and clearer output which is much easier on the eye than your normal font.

Finally, there's the biometric security feature which is a built in fingerprint scanner. This provides lock/unlock security on the phone to prevent unwanted users access to important data and services. Check out the product page for additional information. Via Gizmodo

NTT DoCoMo enters the integrated music/mobile phone segment with the new Music Porter II mobile phone. The Music Porter II uses a Memory Stick PRO Duo expansion card to store ATRAC3/ATRAC3 plus music files. The phone also supports MP3 and AAC music formats. You can listen to music on the phone continously for up to 20 hours. It even has a built in FM Tuner.

The Music Porter II is otherwise a fairly typical clamshell phone measuring 107mm x 49mm x 23mm and weighing in at 120 grams. It has a standby time of approximately 400 hours and a talk time of approximately 140 minutes. There are two color displays on the phone. The main display is 2.2 inches large and has a resolution of 240 x 320 with support for over 65K colors. The second display is in the front and has a resolution of 128 x 32. Finally, the phone also comes with an integrated digital camera.
