Now A Wrist Worn PC
Okay being big is not always good especially in the technology world. If you don’t believe us, just have a look at all the portable devices like Origami, UMPCs doing the rounds. The latest to cash in this frenzy is the mini 7 ounces wrist worn PC from the Eurotech Group taking mobility to the next level, you can take this baby everywhere.
The Eurotech WWPC (wrist-worn personal computer) can operate both on Windows and Linux and has mandatory features like WLAN, Bluetooth, USB, audio mini-speakers, a direct-access keypad, touch-screen and built-in GPS receiver. It also has a PC like interface so users can’t complain about complex operations. So who is it targeted at? Well theirs always the show off yuppie who wants to own all ‘cool’ gadgets but mostly the WWPC is for those involved in emergency rescue, security and health care. For this the PC also has what Eurotech calls "tilt-and-dead reckoning system" which tells the operator if someone has been motionless for a certain length of time and it can run for at least 8 hours.
