Novac unveiled its latest product, the Novac NV-HV355 Mobile Video HDD media player. The NV-HV355 is compatible with a standard 3.5" hard drive (but doesn't come with one, go figure), so you can stuff that hard drive filled with movies into the player and connect it to a TV. Simple as that.

It handles several file formats, including MPEG1/2/4, MP3, JPEG, XviD and DivX. Unfortunately, DivX versions 3/4/5 are supported, which leaves out the latest version 6. The player has a USB 2.0 interface, so you can transfer files from the PC onto the device at high speeds.

The packaging includes component and USB cables, an AC adapter and remote control. Priced at ¥12,800 (approx. US $110).
