All you golfers out there now have a reason to go in for the Nokia N93: Nokia today announced the availability of the Nokia N93 Golf Edition, bundled with a unique golf application (what else?). This multimedia powerhouse can now serve as your very own pocket-caddie by capturing your golf swing, analyzing and improving your game thanks to split-screen swing comparison.

Called Pro Session Golf, the bundled application boasts of a custom-made viewfinder capable of capturing your swing from the right angle and distance. The best part is you don't need any additional equipment or messy wiring to analyze your game.

Thanks to the N93 being a phone (did you forget already?), you can share tips, swings, drawings and more via MMS. Nokia Nseries, being an official sponsor of the European PGA Tour for 2006/2007, is making the right noises with the N93 Golf Edition.

Nokia is targeting a specific customer base with the N93 Golf Edition, and it will be interesting to see how this takes off. It remains to be seen if other competitors will follow suit.
