Nokia N72 Cell Phone
When Nokia announces an Open Studio event, you can't help but wonder what they have up their mobile-filled sleeves. Well, how about a new addition to the Nseries range of high-end phones? Nokia unveiled the all-new N72, a sleek phone available in pearl pink and gloss black and boasts of multimedia features that are Nokia's hallmark.
Whether it's photography, personal productivity or pure entertainment, the new Nokia N72 guarantees that you are never far from it. For the on-board 2 megapixel camera and digital music player, the N72 provides dedicated access keys on the device. An FM radio and support for Visual Radio are also available on the N72.
Based on the hugely successful S60 platform, Nokia looks set to have another winner in the upcoming markets. You can leverage the already existing array of business/productivity/fun applications for S60 phones, and with Flickr and Nokia Lifeblog support, you can easily share multimedia with virtually anyone with an internet connection.
While not a 3G phone, the Nokia N72 supports EDGE/GSM networks - and it is in these areas that Nokia expects the new phone to sell like hot cakes. According to Bill Sermon, VP of Multimedia Design at Nokia, the N72's design concept was inspired by what the Nokia N72 means to someone, rather than what it can do for that person. The Nokia PC Suite now includes the Nokia Music Manager, so you can rip CDs and transfer them onto the device with ease. Thanks to single-button access to the tracks, you are not left without entertainment.
The lens cover slides open to reveal a 2 megapixel (1600 x 1200 pixel resolution) camera with integrated flash for low-light photography. Shoot pictures and videos, and they can later be manipulated using the integrated photo/video editor.
The Nokia N72 pack includes matching headset and wrist strap and will be available starting June this year in several markets including India, Middle and East Africa, Russia, Eastern Europe and South East Asia. Pricing has not been annouced yet, but details are available from Nokia's website.
