Nokia E60 FCC-Approved, On Its Way to the US
Whoa! Nokia's business smartphone, the much-awaited Nokia E60 has gained FCC approval, easing its entry into the US markets. A clamshell to the core, the keys have been slightly spaced apart which looks great.
The Nokia E60 supports up to 6 Bluetooth devices at the same time (of course, you'll have to watch out for your battery). Advanced security features, including SSL 3.0 and TLS, as well as WLAN security framework have been integrated.
The display has been improved several levels and it now offers a 352 x 416 pixel resolution and 16 million colors.
With hot-swappable RS memory card support, the Nokia E60 provides ample space for storage (75MB on-board), and seamless sync with Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes. It also supports Push-to-Talk (PTT) technology. It's a bit on the heavier side, weighing 117 grams with Nokia BL-5C battery.
We first saw the E series last October, and in general, were excited by the prospects of having a Symbian phone that included WLAN capabilities, especially one based on the popular S60 platform. A user can capitalize on the wide range of software already available for the platform.
Available soon, check out Nokia's E60 product page for details. Check out the extended entry for tech specs.
