Nokia 9500 Communicator The latest addition to the Nokia line of Communicator phones is the Nokia 9500. This is a tri-band GSM phone supporting GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz frequencies. The phone also has extensive networking support in the form of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and EDGE support. The 9500 continues the side hinge design found in previous Communicator models. Open up the phone and you'll see a QWERTY keyboard as well as a secondary display which is larger than the one on the outside.

The external display as a resolutioin of 128 x 128 and is primarily used for phone calls while the internal display has a resolution of 640 x 200. The phone has support for viewing Microsoft Office documents as well as being able to synchronization with PIMs such as Outlook and Lotus Notes.


The 9500 Communicator has the following features:

  • Full messaging keyboard and two 65,536-color displays
  • Integrated WLAN 802.11b and EGPRS (EDGE) for fast data transfer1
  • Office Tools: Document, Sheet, Presentation editor and viewer, Web browser and email with attachments
  • Organizer: Contacts, calendar and to-do list with PC Synchronization
  • Large memory: 80 MB internal and Multimedia Card (MMC) support
  • Integrated camera (VGA) with video capability
  • Bluetooth wireless technology
  • Service: GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz
