Nokia 6708 Cell PhoneNokia 6708, the first cell phone from Nokia to feature the UIQ interface, has got FCC approval. All this while, Nokia released phones based on their own S60 (Series 60) interface - which supported only keypad input.

With the 6708, Nokia has a phone that sports stylus input capabilities, apart from the bigger screen. However, the other features are not impressive by today's standards, with the 6708 using a 1.3 megapixel camera, and 65k color screen. It's a small brick at 150 grams, but provides a talk time of 200 minutes and 275-hour standby which is great.

A MiniSD card slot is provided to go beyond the internal 18MB limit. Bluetooth and Infrared both are supported. And I have no clue why it still runs the outdated Symbian OS v7.0.

More details as they come in. via Slashphone
