Nokia is really living it up at the CES 2007 and the company has the world drooling with all their new handsets! Another handset creating a buzz at the CES 2007, is the Nokia 6131 NFC handset which can "touch to connect" and is the world's first fully integrated commercial NFC handset.

The Nokia 6131 NFC Handset uses Near Field Communications (NFC) technology and makes it possible to share information, initiate consumer services and makes payments and ticketing possible by just one tap of the device. Thus taking the whole mobile experience to a whole new level where interaction is the keyword.

The Nokia 6131 NFC in true Nokia style also has a whole bunch of multimedia features. There is the all important 1.3 Megapixel camera with a dedicated camera button and 8x digital zoom. One also comes across a built-in digital music player with microSD card support and FM stereo radio. The Nokia 6131 NFC also has Bluetooth connectivity. No word on pricing or availability, but keep watching this space for updates.

Nokia continues to push the boundaries of mobile phone technologies at CES 2007 with the release of its new Nokia N800 Internet Tablet, calling it a "next generation widescreen Nokia Nseries multimedia computer."

Based on Nokia's Linux based Table Operating System, the N800 will allow heavy use of Internet applications such as Internet calling, instant messaging, and email as well as the downloading/streaming of multimedia content.

An improvement of the previously release Nokia 770 Internet Tablet the Nokia N800 promises faster performance, a touch screen qwerty keyboard, an integrated web camera, and support for both WiFi and Bluetooth. Being part of the Nseries also means a more elegant design.

The Nokia N800 is available immediately in the United States and selected markets in Europe at about $399.

Most of the improvements over the N93 are superficial, like the 3.2mm which was shaved off from the width of the device. The make over also included a new shiny mirror finish on its exterior and a metal feel to its keypad. The front panel also hides a 128 x 36 OLED display.

Other standard features include a 3.2 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera, bundled 1GB miniSD card, VGA Video capture w/ MPEG4 Compression, WiFi connectivity, FM Radio, and Bluetooth. The phone will run on 3G, EDGE and GSM networks.

The phone also features a new video and photo blogging software called Vox and comes bundled with Adobe Premiere Elements software for PC video editing.

The Nokia N93i will ship sometime in the first quarter of 2007 and will priced at approximately 600 euros ($780 US).

Tired of the bulky phones in the Nokia Nseries? All hail the new Nokia N76, one of Nokia's slimmest models yet in this popular range of handsets. Available in a folder design, the Nokia N76 is available in a cool new design.

Supporting up to 2GB microSD cards, the Nokia N76 is a true music powerhouse. With enough storage capacity to store nearly 1,500 tracks, the N76 pampers the user with easy-access music keys on the front. For the latest games, the phone is bundled with Java MIDP 2.0. The N76 supports video streaming, and comes with RealPlayer. There's also an FM radio receiver on-board for added entertainment.

Nokia has announced the Nokia BH-301 Bluetooth Headset. Match your headset to suit your mood with the interchangeable, stylish covers on the Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-301. Available in either a light or a dark variant, choose cover colors ranging from 'pink flower' to 'deep plum', and many more. This headset will keep you talking for up to seven hours or it will survive on standby for up to 200 hours. Photos of the upcoming Nokia E65 business phone have made their way online. The E65 features a slider keypad, and appears to be a relatively thin slider phone. It contains the standard numeric keypad and shortcuts, as well as some extra buttons for phone call functions below the phone's LCD screen. It is rumored that these keys are for VoIP calls, which would be able to be made with the phone's integrated WiFi module.

The Nokia E65 has a pop-port connector, instead of the USB connector that everyone has been hoping for. Other specs include 70 MB internal storage, a microSD card slot for extra storage, 2 megapixel camera, bluetooth, and more. It is expected to be available in Q2 or Q3 for about $450 USD.

The Nokia 6155i , a mid-level CDMA handset is coming soon to the US. However as of now there is no specific US carrier having it , though its compatible with some U.S. networks, and may be available from third-party dealers or smaller, regional carriers.

The Nokia 6155i measures 3.41" x 1.79" x 1.02" (87 x 45 x 26 mm) and sports a smart clamshell design. Its capable of 3.50 hours of Talk-time and 480 hours of Standby. The handset in;cudes a 1 megapixel camera and comes equipped with a LED flash and video capture. Key features include speakerphone, push-to-talk, FM radio, and infrared.

Now, we are curious about this cell phone that turned up at the FCC. It is identified only as Nokia N00. Could it be the Nokia N93i? We don't know for sure, but given the photos and the build, it could well be this phone.

Documents available at the site indicate a 3.2 megapixel camera apart from a lower quality secondary camera for use in video conferencing. You can also shoot images in sequence or with a timer.

Other goodies like the music player are available without doubt. Visual Radio and Flash Player are much-necessary accessories on any phone and Nokia acknowledges this. No word on the pricing, availability or even the model name yet, so hang in there until Nokia unleashes this baby.

Remember the stylish Nokia 6300 Phone that we saw a few days back? Yes, the same one that was introduced at Nokia's Capital Market Days.

Well, the phone just got the nod from the FCC, paving its way for its targeted Q1 2007 release. The photos and user manual are available from the FCC's site in all their glory.

The phone measures 106.8mm x 43.8mm x 13.1mm, and is a quad-band world phone. It carries a pre-tax price of €250 (US $328).

According to the official Nokia site, the company plans to release two new phones, the E61i and E65. Like any rumor, it is difficult to separate the lies from the truth on this one.

For example, it is rumored that these phones might support HSDPA. They also might have a QVGA display, a microSD slot, a 2-Megapixel camera, and support UMTS/EDGE/GPRS/WLAN. The only difference is that the E61i is a candybar model and the E65 is a slider. At least, that's what we think.

The Powers Of Be at the FCC have approved the UMA-capable Nokia 6086 and will be available on the T-Mobile network soon. UMA aka Unlicensed Mobile Access can access both GSM and WiFi access point which is ever is more convenient. According to the brains behind this technology: "Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology provides access to GSM and GPRS mobile services over unlicensed spectrum technologies, including Bluetooth and 802.11" . No further info is available as of now but we will keep you updated.

These CDMA network phones, such as the Nokia 1265 and Nokia 1325 feature a number of features. These phones are so new that I can't find them on the Nokia company's website.

As you know, cell phones can pretty much do anything these days, with their Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and even cameras. However, did we originally buy these things so we would have…phones? In other words, there is still a crowd who still just want to use their cell as a phone, you know.

For the sake of this article, we'll discuss the Nokia 1325. (The Nokia 1265 has been previously discussed in another article on this site. And yes, I did cut and paste similar information from it onto this one.)

The new Nokia 1325 has "intuitive design, and easy-to-use functions". It appears to be ideal for first-time phone users in the Asia-Pacific region, China, Latin America, the Middle-East, and Africa. After all, cell phones really need to be distributed to these countries if we can ever hope to have a more integrated world.

One of the features is the handsfree speaker function, involving more than just one talker on a single phone call. The Nokia 1325 can also store up to 400 contacts and 150 messages, which means that the important messages are not deleted. It has a 90-second voice recorder, so you can take important verbal messages anywhere.

The Nokia 1325 has a 64K color screen (compare with the Nokia 1265, which is completely black and white), it also has a talk time of 3.5 hours, and a standby time of 6.5 days.

Look for it sometime in 2007, more than likely within the winter or spring season, especially in regions like China, Asia-Pacific, Middle-East, Africa, and Latin America.

I'm not certain who would really want a monochromatic display in this day and age. However, you really have to ask yourself, do you really need a display with 64K colors. Think about it.

It does have what a lot of customers want, which is easy text messaging, with predictive text. It also has Polyphonic MIDI capabilities with an integrated handsfree speaker, plus a 60-second voice recorder. It also includes the essentials including the contact phonebook that can list 250 entries, calendar, calculator, and alarm clock. It has a talk time of 3.5 hours, but 6.5 days of stand-by capability.

I can't imagine that a phone with a monochromatic display will be very expensive, but I don't know the price as yet. Look for it sometime in 2007, more than likely within the winter or spring season.

Looks like the US will witness the Nokia N75 Goodness, earlier than expected as the phone will debut very soon on the Cingular Network. This makes the N75, the first N-Series handset to be available directly from a US carrier. The N75 has some awesome features on it and supports GSM + EDGE + UMTS (3G). Some other features include; 2 megapixel, with 16x digital zoom and LED flash system,a digital music player with equalizer, playlist capability, mini map feature and an integrated browser.

MobileMag have reviewed the Nokia 6133 which is available on the T-Mobile Network in the US. The website give the phone thumbs up for features like its slim form factor, its user-friendly interface, the button near the top that flips the phone open, its 1.3 megapixel camera and the overall feature set list. However the handset does not come with any accessories except a charger. The reviewer was also not impressed by the design once the flip is shut and the camera disappoints in most scenarios!

The Nokia 6133 seeks to be an affordable yet fully functional handset and one must give credit to the company! They have not really cut down on any features and it includes Messaging features like AOL, Yahoo, MSN, and ICQ Instant Messenger which quite a nice addition. One also comes across a 1.3 Megapixel camera with zoom and video capture/playback and a MP3 Player.

In the the review writes"t's not the sexiest phone out there, but with a fairly good feature list, the Nokia 6133 from Rogers Wireless can be best described as "adequate". They've tried their best to include all the latest features -- like a megapixel camera, multimedia player, SMS, mobile web, instant messengers, and so on -- but none of them are implemented in such a way that will make you go, "Wow." I enjoyed using videotones (using my own videos), and the one-button flip opener was certainly nifty. In the end, if you've only got $100 to spend on a cell phone (and you're willing to sign a three-year contract), the Nokia 6133 will fit most of your basic needs and do an adequate job of doing what it needs to do."

Nokia today announced that users of the Nokia N80 Internet Edition will have easy access to low-cost calls over the Internet with SIPphone's Gizmo Voice over IP (VoIP) services. The Nokia N80 Internet Edition is optimized for SIP-based Internet calls, and now Nokia and SIPphone have worked together to create an easy way to configure and make calls using Gizmo VoIP directly from your multimedia computer.

"Mobilizing the Internet is a key focus for Nokia and I'm excited to see how a multimedia computer like the Nokia N80 Internet Edition can provide people with the convenience of Internet calling," said Ralph Eric Kunz, Vice President, Multimedia, at Nokia. "Our collaboration with SIPphone makes Internet calling easy, plus our open VoIP platform allows for any SIP-based VoIP provider to incorporate their services in our device architecture, giving consumers the best of the Internet world."

Nokia's annual Capital Market Days at Amsterdam saw the announcement of yet another cell phone. The new Nokia 6300 candybar is an affordable phone from Nokia and, at 91 grams, is one of its lighter ones as well.

The keypad is generously ergonomic - a welcome change from some of the currently available models with horribly small keys. The Nokia 6300 sports an integrated MP3 player apart from an FM radio receiver. On-board, it boasts of 135MB memory, with microSD memory cards up to 2GB supported.

A spiffy 2 megapixel camera is available, and it offers up to 8x digital zoom. The phone is 13.1mm thick, and its white color definitely gives it a yummy feel. The 2" QVGA screen is another good addition.

Nokia claims an easy-to-use menu interface available on the phone, although details are sparse at this time. A talktime of 3.5 hours and standby of 14 days are claimed.

The Nokia 6300 will hit the stores in Q1 2007 at a pre-tax price of €250 (US $328).

Could this be the phone I am waiting for? Nokia announced the Nokia 6290, its latest 3G cell phone based on the S60 3rd Edition (Symbian) platform. Touted as a mid-range 3G phone, the 6290 features an ergonomic design and handy Quick Cover access keys to instantly access the phone's features.

The Nokia 6290 lets you set up multiple alarms and an interactive world travel application. The integrated mobile search application gets you in touch with local information, which is bound to be very useful.

Equipped with a 2.2" QVGA color screen capable of displaying 16 million colors, the Nokia 6290 comprises of a 2 megapixel camera and 4X digital zoom. The bundled email client comes with an attachment viewer that can handle PPT, PDF, Word and Excel documents.

As usual, there is no point in having a 3G phone without a music player - and the Nokia 6290 is no different. An MP3 player is thrown in as well. Thanks to high speed internet access, you can also enjoy 2-way video calling on the phone.

Nokia claims a talktime of 3.5 hours and standby of 10 days. The Nokia 6290 phone will start shipping in Q1 2007 for an estimated price of €325 (US $427).

Alright, so this is what Nokia had up its sleeve all this long! Check out the all-new Nokia 6086 multimode cell phone. The 6086 is an Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) handset boasting quad-band GSM compatibility making it a true world phone.

Offered in a snappy exterior, Nokia is aiming to deliver seamless consumer experience with the 6086 phone. UMA trials confirmed that the phone was able to switch effortlessly between GSM and WLAN networks - while at the same time being transparent to the user.

Nokia claims a talk-time of 5 hours and up to 10 days of standby. While on-board memory is paltry at just 6MB, the Nokia 6086 can take in microSD memory cards. It's got a basic VGA camera with 4X digital zoom. It can also record video, and features Bluetooth so you can get yourself some wireless enhancements.

Thanks to the UMA technology, operators can deliver voice and data services to consumers over WLAN as well, cutting costs while expanding their coverage at the same time.

Expect the Nokia 6086 to hit the markets in Q1 2007, priced at €200 (approx. US $263) excluding taxes.

Looks like the Nokia 8800 keeps coming out with new special editions. First it was The Gold Edition Nokia 8800 Phone, with a 24 karat skin as well as special charging station. I’m sure Goldfinger would have loved to get his hands on this before he pulled off his grand scheme of blowing up an atomic bomb inside Fort Knox.

Speaking of Goldfinger, the company has recently released a phone based on the type of car of that film, the Aston Martin. The Nokia 8800 Aston Martin Limited Edition, which was just the 8800 with the Aston Martin logo. I suppose James Bond would have bought this up if Q hadn’t given him a phone with a laser.

No wonder that Nokia 8800 Phone Wins Red Dot Design Award. After all, it has a sweet stainless steel and mineral glass design. The Nokia 8800 now has another special edition to brag about with the Nokia 8800 Lamborghini Sirocco phone. Like the previously mentioned Aston Martin, this guy has the award-winning style with the famous Lamborghini logo engraved. It also looks like ball bearings from the auto company to make the slider phone possible. (I wonder if it makes it slide better than the other Nokia 8800s out there?)

Let us not forget its phone uses as well. It has tri-band GSM coverage for up to five continents, as well as 128 MB of internal memory. Like its color TFT display, protected by scratch-resistant sapphire coated glass. It also has a 2 megapixel camera, as well as an integrated digital MP3 player. This is in addition to Bluetooth, xHTML browsing, Instant Messaging, video streaming services, as well as data transfer over EDGE, GPRS, or TCP/IP.

This Lamborghini 500-piece limited edition will also feature Lamborghini graphics as wallpapers, screensavers, ringtones, and even has a short documentary video about the Lamborghini. No word on the price, but I’m sure it’s quite expensive. However, who knows if these collectors edition cell phones will go up in value over the next few decades.

This one's for the seriously rich. If you've got extra cash stashed away in your Swiss bank account, you might want to consider going in for the Nokia 8800 Sirocco Diamond Edition.

Created by Sayn Design, the Sirocco Diamond Edition is plated with 24-carat gold. It can't get more expensive than this. With 100 megs of on-board memory and, surprisingly, the same 2 megapixel camera, the phone comes with an integrated music player as well.

This is pretty much a limited-edition phone - Nokia will unleash only 1000 of the Sirocco Diamonds. The price? All of US $3,450.

The Nokia E62's availability on Cingular Wireless is old news, however Cingular has further upped its ante by incorporating the enhanced version of TeleNav GPS Navigator into the E62.

Now all Nokia E62 handsets will come bundled with 3D maps and search facilities for locating businesses and places of interest. With the TeleNav GPS Navigator System, expect the Whole 9 Yards as the system displays turn-by-turn directions on color 3D moving maps. It also displays the streets which the suer is passing by and one can easily pan and zoom the on board maps. Another nifty feature on the TeleNav is the "fuzzy search, which is able to fill in addresses based on current, commonly used locations.

So if you are a road warrior you can subscribe to the GPS service which starts at $6 a month for up to 10 trips. The Nokia E62 is available on the Cingular Network for around $149.99.

Well now, what do we have here? This device is rumored to be N97 and only time will tell if its Nokia's latest offering or a result of someone's Photoshop skills! According to the rumor mill, the handset is equipped with a 3 inch display and will in all probability have a 5 Megapixel camera with 20x digital zoom! The N97 promises both fun and functionality and will also include a miniSD card and 20GB of internal memory! We shall keep you updated on this one!

When it comes to cell phones, black is the new black. All right, that was stupid, but the new Nokia E50 Phone is anything but.

It is a basic quad-band phone that also supports GPRS and EDGE connectivity. It is made for business with Symbian 9.1 OS (Third Edition). It has so many internal capabilities such as Wireless Email, BlackBerry Connect, Activesync Mail for Exchange, Visto Mobile, and Alexia support and office documents viewer. You can even take zip and pdf documents with you as well!

The Nokia E50 has a screen with 240 x 320 pixel resolution, with 70 MB of internal memory with an microSD card for further extension. This phone also has a 1.3 Megapixel camera with 4x zoom and video capture, and supports Bluetooth, Infrared, and USB Short Range connectivity.

The Nokia E50 is already up for sale at many webshops everywhere. You can also purchase it with a white stripe or alternate colors.

Whoa! A slim phone from Nokia will have our heads turning for sure. So yeah, the E61/E62 phones were a bit of a downer in that department. However, if the rumors are true, then we may soon have a sleek avataar in the form of the Nokia E62i.

Other major changes in the E62i appear to be a camera (now why would business types want a camera?) and a modified 5-way joystick. Well, okay, it's not a stick anymore as it appears to be a flat button. Nice.

As with rumors, we have to wait for an official announcement from Nokia on this one. Maybe once it gets the nod from the FCC, it will be announced? Check back with us on this one.
