Nikon has unveiled the new Nikon COOLPIX S5 a highly stylized and funky addition to S (Style) series targeted at those who want the whole package of looks and performance. The Nikon S5 is highly functional and contains some cutting edge technology resulting in beautiful and high quality images. This 6MP camera features a 3x Optical Zoom-Nikkor ED Glass Lens which produces great prints upto s large as 16 x 20 inches

Like all the new Nikon additions the COOLPIX S5 also features the exclusive Nikon's Exclusive Feature System which includes In-Camera Red-Eye Fix for red eye correction, Face-Priority AF, D-Lighting which adds light and details, Blur Warning and Best Shot Selector (BSS) automatically identifies and saves the sharpest shot from ten sequential shots. The S5 is suppose to be a user friendly camera and features a very convenient standalone One-Touch Portrait Button which gives instant and easy access Face Priority AF and In-Camera Red Eye Fix options.
Nikon S5 also features the new Pictmotion software which creates slide shows with music making it highly watch able on the LCD. Rechargeable EN-EL8 Battery takes upto 210 pictures on a single charge.17Scene Modes are also included for convenient and easy photography including an Underwater Mode. A TV Quality Movie Mode function is also incorporated by Nikon for recording videos at 30fps with sound. The Nikon S5 is priced at around $349.95 and will hit the stores around March 2006. website
