nikon_p3.jpgThe New Nikon CoolPix P3 has the makings of a great digital camera as it fulfills the needs of both the amateur and the serious photographer. A feature rich camera where the P stands for performance the P3 combines Nikons cutting edge digital technology and some advance features. The 8.1 MP dig cams promises to take point and shoot photography to the next level where passion and power meet.

The Nikon CoolPix P3 has a 3.5x Zoom-Nikkor Glass Lens which not only produces sharp and detailed images but also can print images upto as large as 20 x 30 inches. The celebrated vibration Reduction (VR) system is also seen in the P3 .The VR system which was first seen in SLRS allows the users to capture stable images at fast shutter speeds without compromising on the sharpness. The VR has 2 modes Normal and Active which both work in conjunction with the camera settings. There is an electronic adaptation of Vibration Reduction also present which produces sharp movies in low light.

The Nikon CoolPix P3 has a big and bright 2.5 inch 150,000-dot TFT LCD display which leads to easy composition and viewing of the shots. The P3 has up to 10 Aperture Priority Mode which lets the users take full control n 1/3EV steps. Users have the freedom to set any type of aperture according to their photography needs and produce wide varied images. There is also a new 11 wide area AF for varied and diverse compositions. Because of this feature the user can concentrate on the composition and forget about details like sharpness etc as the P3 takes care of it. The P3 also features Nikons Exclusive Feature System which includes: In-Camera Red-Eye Fix for red eye correction, Face-Priority AF, D-Lighting which adds light and details, Blur Warning and Best Shot Selector (BSS) which saves the best shot automatically from upto 10 sequential shots.

The Nikon P3 also records movies with ease and has the useful feature called TV Quality Movie Mode function. With this feature a user can record movies at up to 30 fps with sound limited only by the available memory. Another great thing about the P3 is that it has a built in WiFi which is used for wireless transfers and printing.Shootiing Modes include the standard Advanced Scene Modes (Portrait [Face AF], Portrait, Night Portrait, Landscape, Night landscape, Sunset, Dusk/Dawn, Fireworks show, Close up etc , 7 Scene Modes Party/Indoor, etc. The Nikon P3 is priced at $449.95 and will be available in March 2006.
