As some of you know - the Intel Yonah processor is right around the corner and as a result, notebook manufactures are coming out in droves announcing new Yonah based systems. NEC is one of them with the new LaVie LR700D and the 900.

Unfortunately there are no hard core technical specifications out as of yet but we do know that the new LaVie notebooks will include Intel Mobile 945 Express chipsets, a 100GB HDD, a dual layer DVD burner, and a 14 inch 1400 x 1050 display.

The real question will be which version of Yonah will this system have - a single core Yonah or a dual core Yonah? Hard to say but either way, you'll be given a boost in CPU performance AND a boost in battery performance. Via Akihabara News.
