Netgear has launched the SPH200D Dual-Mode Cordless Phone with Skype, which allows you to call your friends through the Internet.
Users can make and receive traditional phone calls through this phone as well - the SPH200D plugs into "land line" phone jack.

Utilizing this phone in conjunction with the Skype service, you can make ordinary calls worldwide for just pennies a minute - much cheaper than long-distance calls through a phone company.

To get the phone up and running, all you have to do is plug the dual-mode cordless phone station into your Internet router to start making Skype calls. As well, you can plug the base station into your land-line phone jack in the wall to make land-line calls from the same phone. You can add up to three additional phones throughout your home.

With the phone you can manage a contact list and see who's available to talk to; anduse premium services such as SkypeIn, SkypeOut, and Skype Voicemail. The Netgear SPH200D is a DECT cordless phone, which is ideal for long range and clear voice quality. The set also supports multiple languages.
