nec_01.jpgNEC Japan launched their new low-end LaVie L Basic notebook, the LL590 which touts a 15.4-inch WXGA TFT LCD screen with resolutions of 1280 x 800. It is powered by AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile technology TL-50 processor that runs on Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. If you are targeting for a lower budget, you are given the choice of downgrading your processor to Mobile AMD Sempron 3200+. LaVie L Basic notebook also boasts ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 chipset, 100GB HDD, 768MB RAM, Super-multi DVD burner and 5-in-1 memory card reader. On the connectivity side, it has an integrated IEEE802.11a/b/g wireless LAN, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, four USB 2.0 ports, IEEE 1394 port, Type 2 PC card slot and one D-Sub 15 pin. LaVie L Basic notebook weights 3.1kg with the size of 360 × 260 ×36.6~40 mm. It will be available from mid-August with the base configuration price of 155,000Yen.
