NASCAR NEXTEL FanView - Listen into the drivers conversations at NASCAR
NASCAR fanatics will be thrilled with the announcement of the NASCAR NEXTEL FanView, a hand-held scanner that includes video, audio and data capabilities. Not only will they be able to access the race telecast but also be privy to the live audio feeds of the driver. Other features also include radio broadcast, audio-replay feature and upto seven in-car camera channels.
According to said Michael Robichaud, vice president of sports marketing for Sprint Nextel "NASCAR NEXTEL FanView is an excellent example of how Sprint Nextel, along with our industry partners, can enhance the fan experience at NASCAR events." The device will transmit data over the 2.5 GHz wireless broadcast spectrum and will be a new step towards multi-screen fan experience.
It will be available on a rent basis at the FanView hauler and at all Track Scan locations during NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. For $50 per day or $70 per race it will surely be a big hit.
