My-Cast Weather Information on your MobileDigital Cyclone has a new offering for mobile phone users: the My-Cast 5 personalized weather information service. You can access the service 24/7, and you also get information in real-time regarding storm and lightning, hour-by-hour forecasts, an animated NEXPAD color radar. Users can be warned of any severe weather instantly, allowing time for preparation.

The StormWatch service continuously updates predicted tornado paths, storms, flooding and hurricanes on area maps, along with advisaries from the National Weather Service in the US.

The service offers hi-res weather maps that the user can access, and get hourly and extended forecasts for up to 7 days in advance. The service can be localized to a better extent with GPS-enabled phones. At a glance, the user can know the temperature, precipitation, cloud cover and more. The NEXPAD radar loops show the speed and direction of the approaching weather in real-time.

The My-Cast is a low-cost service available with many carriers, including Cingular, Verizon, Alltel, and others. More info is available from the My-Cast website.
