Mustek MP70C and MP72 Portable DVD Players
Mustek will also be unveiling two new, affordable DVD players at the CES in January, the MP70C (pictured on the right) and MP72. Both the players sport a 7" screen.
Capable of playing DVDs, CD/R/RW and an integrated photo viewer, the MP70C comes in a slightly outdated lunch-box design but definitely compact enough when commuting or to hand over to the kids to keep them quite. The two players also feature anti-shock protection, and can be charged using a car adapter.
If you are the couch-potato type, you can use the AV out to connect the output onto a TV. A pint-sized remote control is packaged as well. Sad part is only one stereo jack.
The MP70C costs US $135 and MP72 costs $129. More info is available from Mustek's website. They will also be on display at Sands Convention Center during CES, booths 70371 and 70372.
Mustek MP72: Sporting a bright 7-inch active matrix screen, the new MP72 is a perfect player for students, business travelers and families on the go. The 16:9 screen aspect ratio, coupled with a progressive scan system and DolbyÆ Digital audio decoder is ideal for enjoying widescreen Hollywood productions. Plus, the MP72 plays music CDs, as well as MP3 tunes burned onto a CD-R/RW. It is also compatible with KodakÆ Picture CDs and photo JPEGs, allowing users to enjoy digital photography collections wherever they go. The MP72 measures 8.3’’ x 6.1’’ x 1.6’’ and weighs 1.8 pounds.
