mpc9000.jpgMove over Sony UMPC, there is a new portable computer on the block which maybe will just win some hearts thanks to its cool lunch box style form factor. This rugged field computer looks pretty cool and comes with four Drive Bays and expansions slots. The MPC-9000 apart from its innovative design also includes aATX, a Micro-ATX form factor motherboard, four storage device bays for hard drives and optical drives, a fold-down keyboard, a choice of 15.4" or 17" LCD monitor, and a 400 watt power supply.

This mobile computer is far from fragile and is made of solid aluminum alloy and the hard drive is mounted on shock absorbers. So go play rough! For enhanced protection the Expansion cards are clamped down and the PC also includes rubber bumpers. The unique architecture ensures that the PC maintains its cool and it comes either with Intel or AMD dual-core processors and 1 GB system memory. Some other configurations found on this cool lunch box PC include graphics controller, gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, SATA hard drive interface, PCI-Express x16, and PCI-Express x1, and PCI slots.
