Motorola TETRA PDA
Motorola has launched the first-ever PDA that operates on TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) networks - a set of safe standards that provides infrastructure to public safety professionals such as police and firemen.
This new PDA promises reliable and secure services for public safety organizations on the go. "Users can access person and vehicle records, report crimes and accidents, and issue penalty tickets via the PDA's application suite."
The phone was launched at the TETRA World Congress 2005 in Germany and features Bluetooth, WiFi connectivity, GPS, a built in camera and a large 3.5-inch TFT display. It is expected to be commercially available in he 3rd Quarter of 2006. motorola.com
