A video review of the Motorola Q has been done by the website Qusers.com. The reviewer has done a hands on review and the first thing he talks about is the Q’s size and form factor. Unlike smart phones like the BlackBerry, the Q is surprisingly lightweight and fits right in to a coat or a shirt pocket. In fact the reviewer says it’s pretty easy to forget that you’re carrying a phone in your pocket. This is no doubt a feather in Motorola’s cap since devices like these always come out to be bulky.
The Motorola Q looks like it will garner a lot of support in the near future not only because of ergonomics but also because of the highly intuitive menu. The Q also has a great set of applications like Windows Media Player, MS Office among others which thanks to the user friendly interface can be accessed easily. While all the keys and buttons may look daunting at first, the reviewer assures that’s it very easy to get the hang of the menu. On accessing the web browser via the home and the slider key, the reviewer had no complaints. Web browser at times is a little slow especially when the site has a lot of images but over all its pretty decent. The web pages can be scrolled both horizontally and vertically but accessing them via the desktop version can slow you down.
The Windows Media Player has a decent video resolution and the in built Q speakers are pretty loud! Thus you don’t have to worry about the audio performance when there is a lot of background noise. The volume can directly be accessed via the side slider wheel. The biggest let down on the phone was the miniSD card slot which is too small and thus inaccessible. One needs to struggle a bit when trying to use a miniSD card. Over all the Motorola Q has the potential of being a big success and the folks at Motorola did get it right this time.
