motorola_iradio.jpgMotorola has just announced iRadio, its subscription-based music service that will run on the upcoming ROKR E2 mobile phone. It will also be demoed at CES 2006.

This service will compete with among others XM Satellite and Sirius Satellite Radio. Their service will include 435 commercial-free radio channels on a variety of genres. Users will be able to download channels onto their computer and transfer them to their phones for playing.

The service will cost about $7 per month depending on the Telecom company. They've already setup a website for the service. Via Yahoo! Finance.
