ROKRE2b.jpgLet's all admit it. The orginial ROKR phone was a flop, so it comes as no surprise that its successor the ROKR E2 will not feature iTunes software. Instead it will support the Motorola's iRadio also announced today.

After months of speculation Motorola has officially announced the Motorola ROKR E2. It improves on much complained about features such as the 100-song limit. The E2 features a 2-inch QVGA display, a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, an FM radio and a SD memory card slot. The camera can also take MPEG-4 video.

The phone also features dedicated music controls on the side for Play, Pause, and Skip Forward/Backward. The phone also supports USB 2.0 connections for faster data transfer.

The phone also has Bluetooth which will work together with a new line of Bluetooth headsets Motorola plans to launch soon. This means that users can wireless listen to music from their phone and answer calls at the press of a button. When the phone call is over you can resume listening right where you left off.

You will be able to buy Motorola E2 in the first half of 2006. It is available in Silver and Black!
