MOTO Q PRO Smartphone Detailed Info

MOTOQPRO_07.jpgWith Nokia hogging all the limelight at the CES 2007, how could arch rival Motorola stay behind? The folks today officially (and we stress on officially) announced the highly anticipated Motorola Q Pro! Yes folks the MotoQ Pro will soon be a reality and will land in our grubby hands sooner than we expected!

The Moto Q Pro is an ultra-thin smartphone and provides a much needed relief from all those bulky handsets. The Q Pro measures 116 x 64 x 11.5 mm and weighs around 115grams and no doubt its sleek form factor will appeal to one and all. The phone is pretty much identical to the Moto Q when it comes ergonomics but the Pro has been loaded with a host of utilities and applications, ideal for the professionals on the go.

The handset as mentioned earlier has a whole array of business applications, which include applications like; MOTOPRO Mobility Suite MSP Professional, Document editing capability with Documents To Go for Microsoft® Word etc. Those who are on the road for long hours can also make use of the additional battery and the included vehicle power adapter. The Moto Q Pro also boasts of a number of connectivity options making sure that the individual is always connected. Some of these options include; CDMA (Code-Division Multiple Access), EV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) for high-speed broadband data, variety of mobile e-mail solutions, IrDA (infrared data association), Motorola Mini USB connector and Bluetooth connectivity!

The phone has the Mobile Security Platform too, which includes features like firewall protection, data encryption, virtual private network connectivity and authentication and the ability to detect unauthorized detection. MOTO Q PRO also supports enterprise VPN solutions to help safeguard enterprise data and networks, as well as a password protection feature. The handset operates on the Windows Mobile™ 5.0 and thus supports a wide range of enterprise and personal email/PIM solutions.

The latest smartphone by Motorola has been designed keeping in mind the needs of the business folks and thus one has the option of camera disablement for those enterprise customers seeking a no-camera mobile device. The handset has an impressive Talk Time of 399 minutes with extended battery life and 234 minutes with Standard battery. Standby time with extended battery is 311 hours and 212 hours with normal battery.

All work and no play make Jack a dull boy and looks like Motorola agrees! The Moto Pro Q apart from heavy-duty business features also has a host of multimedia features. While camera is optional, the handset also has a music player. One also finds a memory card slot and the Q Pro also comes bundled with a 512MB memory card.

The Moto Q Pro is now listed on the Motorola website, however they have not mentioned anything about pricing or a cell phone carrier. The handset comes bundled with security software, document editing, an extended battery, vehicle power adapter, headset and optional camera disablement.
