Mitsubishi XD205U and SD205U Ultra-Portable Projectors
Mitsubishi announced two new ultra-portable projectors, the XD205U and SD205U. Both projectors offer a bright 2000 ANSI Lumens display. Ideal for business presentations or educational institutions, both the XD205U and SD205U implement Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processing technology for higher image quality, in a lightweight (5.29 lb) package.
The XD205U is the higher-end model capable of XGA (1024 x 768 pixels) resolution display. Rated at a 2000:1 contrast ratio, the XD205U offers superb clarity as well as Mitsubishi's guarantee of color depth.
It is capable of producing picture size from 40 to 300 diagonal inches. Compatible resolutions include 640x480 - 1024x768, with compressed 1280x1024 availability. The XD205U also includes an S-Video input so you can connect a TV as a source. The XD205U is priced at US $1,995 and more info is available from Mitsubishi's website.
The SD205U is similar to XD205U in most respects, except that it is the lower-end cousin. Offering a modest SVGA (800x600) resolution, it sports NTSC/PAL/SECAM capability and features an audio stereo input jack.
A 2W mono speaker is included as well. The SD205U costs US $1,295.
