The device combines high fashion, highly accurate GPS functionality, comprehensive point-of-interest (POI) location and a feature-rich digital media player in a trendy, portable package.

Designed to travel everywhere, the H610’s palm-sized form factor and powerful features add a new dimension to digital lifestyles. The ultra sleek design fits easily in a hand, pocket, purse, or can be worn with the included lanyard or wrist strap for extreme portability.

Quality, Reliable Navigation

The H610 comes preloaded with maps of the US (Alaska & Hawaii included) as well as Canada, and will have users up and running in minutes without computer setup. The device features turn-by-turn voice and text navigation (in 16 languages including English, French and Spanish), which allows users to keep their eyes on the road and still get directions. The H610 also features multiple navigation modes, including one for walking and one for bicycle or car transportation. The point-of-interest search navigates to more than 3 million locations, including gas stations, restaurants, hotels, businesses and more – with addresses and phone numbers for extra convenience. For an extra personal touch, users can add their own new “POIs” as they travel.

More than just directions

The H610 features the WorldMate digital assistant software, which delivers up-to-date travel information and services through an easy PC update. Users just connect, refresh and go. The device also includes a full-featured MP3 player and high quality earphones with built-in controls for start, stop and volume. In addition, H610 has a digital still photo viewer that makes it easy to share photos with friends and family at home or on the road as well as a digital video player for a complete entertainment experience – anywhere, anytime.

All in a stylish package

The H610 has a 2.7” touch screen interface for easy, intuitive control over all features. Users can also import their contact list from Microsoft Outlook to easily navigate to business and personal contacts. And finally, the device has an SD/MMC slot for easy MP3, photo and video file transfer and loading and customizable memory options.

Mio recently officially unveiled the Mio H610 GPS a navigational handheld device which also has music and video capabilities. This handy little tool acts like a complete multimedia device and is powered by a Samsung S3C2440 400MHz processor for stable and high end performance. The H610 GPS though primary a GPS receiver can play MP3 Files as well Video clips thus being one of the few GPS with PMP capabilities.

The Mio H610 also features a 320x240 2.7-inch screen with 65k colors and runs on the Windows OS. It also has preinstalled maps of 24 European countries form TeleAtlas and a city guide and battery which last for 18 hours per charge. It would be first seen only in Europe and there is no word on pricing or availability yet.
