Magellan RoadMate 800 GPS
Thales Navigation announced the launch of the new Magellan RoadMate 800, a portable navigation system with color touch-screen, music player and photo viewer. Touted as the ultimate multimedia travel partner, the RoadMate 800 offers a bird's-eye view of maps that come on its sufficient 20GB of hard drive, delivering turn-by-turn text and voice driving prompts.
The ample 3.5" hi-res TFT color touch screen is highly beneficial to the user. What's more, the map color changes automatically at night for better visibility. Two of the neat features of the RoadMate 800 are: SmartVolume, which automatically increases the volume during voice prompts if the vehicle speed exceeds 45 MPH, and QuickSpell that assists the user in fast and easy address entry.
Finding a destination has never been this easier; users can enter a zip code or choose a destination by street address, previous destination or by selecting one of the built-in six million POIs (points of interest), including gas stations, banks, restaurants et al.
The package contains a suction-cup windshield mount and cradle, USB cable, AC adapter, headphones and vehicle power adapter.
