The Magellan RoadMate 3050T includes comprehensive maps and POI database thanks to NAVTEQ, a leading provider of digital maps. For making life simpler for the user, the device comes with an array of options and services in traditional form or birds-eye” 3D form. This basically means you can view data in either 3D or 2D to get a better grasp of data and locations. Though the device lacks Bluetooth, the other features more than make up for it. The RoadMate 3050T apart from a class navigation system is also a multimedia player. It has an integrated battery and also works as a photo viewer and a music viewer.

As of now , no further details are available but the RoadMate 3050T should be available by June and users can buy it with the Magellan TrafficKit. The TrafficKit receiver is a very handy tool which is actually capable of processing and displaying real-time traffic information on the GPS Device. This means if there’s a traffic jam on the route you are about to take, the receiver alerts you. Via icons the Traffickit actually displays information like normal flow of traffic, lane reductions, road construction and accidents on the screen.

All this has been possible thanks to Magellan’s collaboration with NAVTEQ Traffic RDS (Radio Data System) and now users can eliminate traffic woes from their journeys and take the quickest trouble free route. The Magellan RoadMate 3050T will ship in June with the TrafficKit included for US $649.
