Magellan CrossoverGPS

Over at the 2006 SEMA show, Magellan unveiled the world's first rugged, IPX-4-waterproof navigation device for outdoor enthusiasts and road trippers alike. The Magellan CrossoverGPS comes with both street maps and topographic color maps.

Featuring voice and text prompts for easy turn-by-turn driving, the CrossoverGPS comes with a big 3.5" color touch screen (nothing less will do, of course) and the device also offers 3D birds-eye view. The SmartDetour feature helps route around freeway traffic, while SayWhere lets out the street names audibly.

With over 2 million points of interest, getting to the nearest gas station or restaurant is a breeze with the CrossoverGPS. You can load mapping software on an optional SD memory card.

Measuring 3.4" x 4.3" x 1.1" the GPS device weighs in at 8.5 oz. Priced at US $549.99, the Magellan CrossoverGPS will start shipping in December 2006.
