The Whip AirPort antenna are designed to shape and extend the signal from you Mac's wireless card. Installation is a bit tricky though as you'll have to open up your computer and connect the antenna to the airport extreme wireless card. Pretty tricky if you have a PowerBook or iBook.

Also available are 90 degree Uni-Direction Corner Antennas that can be mounted on walls, a Ceiling Antenna, an Omni-Directional Antenna and a Uni Directional Antenna. Having trouble which one is right for you? They offer a Booster Chooser section on their website.
