Okay everyone wants a MacBook (including me) and the folks at Personal Computer World were lucky enough to get their hands on this must have product. They have done a hands on review on the new MacBook which they like for its feature set, performance and its price tag. However the MacBook did disappoint them as far as graphical 3D performance was concerned and the new glossy screen.

The Macbook is the new replacement to the iBook (you all know that by now) . This 13 inch notebook incorporates the latest Intel Duo Core technology and comes in two models, one with 60GB HD and the other with 80GB HD. The Macbook'ss Intel Processor is five times faster than the iBook's and includes a Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory chipset. All models in the Macbook series feature a Built-in iSight camera with 640-by-480-pixel resolution and options like Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector) , Built-in 54-Mbps AirPort Extreme wireless networking (based on 802.11g standard) and a Built-in Bluetooth 2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) up to 3 Mbps.

The website in their review concludes: “Mac users are typically more interested in music, digital photography and video work, and for that sort of software the Macbook is ideal – especially with all the free audio and video software that Apple includes with all Macs. There’s nothing revolutionary about the Macbook, but it does give Apple's laptop range a much-needed shot in the arm. And, of course, it's got the gorgeous design that is traditionally associated with Apple products. The £899 model will probably sell like hotcakes – but it'll be interesting to see if even diehard Apple fans are prepared to swallow the overpriced black model.”
