Logitech Harmony 1000 Universal Remote

Logitech has a stylish new universal remote called the Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal Remote, which recently got the approval from FCC.

Simply look for the make and model of the device which you want to control using the Harmony 1000, connect your PC/laptop to the internet and plug in the universal remote to a free USB port. Install software provided on the CD that comes with the remote: this lets you configure and update it.

Once the software is installed, the manual specifies that you have to create an account (although it's not clear if it should be online), specify the device information noted in the first step, setup activities and start using the Harmony 1000 to your heart's content.

No info on pricing or availability yet, but since it should be out soon, check back with us.
