lan-wsph01wh_1_293x400.shklThe popularity of Skype is sweeping the globe with its promise that you can call anyone for free. Technology businesses around the world are responding to a need they never foresaw with the creation Internet-audio transfers. It was only a matter of time before the invention of Skype-only phones.

Logitec, a Japanese manufacturer, has unofficially announced the LAN-WSPH01WH Skype handset. The device looks like a cell phone with its candybar (non-folding) design and 1.8 inch LCD. However, this phone is WPA2 capable Wifi, and so it is designed to be used around a computer with a wireless card. This phone can do something that most cell phones can’t, which is charge via USB port.

Right now, the product is slated for release in late September, and will probably debut within Japanese borders. The projected price is around $215 USD.
